Community-Based Housing Information and Connections

Finding Housing Starts With Understanding Your Needs.

Searching for housing can feel overwhelming when you are experiencing homelessness, living on limited income, managing a disability, or trying to find the right level of support.

HolBrock Estates helps individuals ages 16 and older explore community-based housing options throughout Maryland. We discuss your current circumstances, preferred location, available resources, and support needs to help identify potential connections.

Our role includes providing information, discussing available options, and helping coordinate contact with receiving programs. Each program determines its own eligibility, admission requirements, services, charges, and availability.

Housing Resources We Help You Explore

Supportive Housing

Community-based housing options for individuals who may benefit from support as they work toward greater stability. Living arrangements, services, participation requirements, and payment arrangements vary by program.

Shelters

Potential shelter resources for individuals experiencing homelessness or an immediate need for somewhere to stay. Tell us if your housing situation is urgent so we can understand your circumstances and discuss potential options.

Licensed Assisted Living Programs

Information and connections for individuals who may need a residential setting offering assistance with daily activities and other support. Each assisted living provider assesses whether it can meet the person’s needs and explains its accommodations, care, charges, and admission requirements.

Our housing screening does not replace a provider’s admission assessment or determine a person’s required level of care.

Limited, Fixed, or No Income? Start the Conversation.

You can contact us even if you do not currently have income or are unsure how you would pay for housing. Tell us about your circumstances so we can discuss potential options.

Housing costs, payment arrangements, and financial assistance depend on the receiving program and individual eligibility. Funding and admission cannot be guaranteed.

How It Works

Understanding Our Housing Connection Service

Community Connections Without Referral Compensation

HolBrock Estates is not registered with the Maryland Office of Health Care Quality as an assisted living referrer.

Maryland Health–General § 19-1813 defines an assisted living referrer as an individual or agency that both provides assisted living referrals without cost to the person receiving the referral and receives compensation from an assisted living program or another third party for making those referrals.

HolBrock Estates does not receive compensation from assisted living programs or other third parties for referring individuals to assisted living. Our housing connection service therefore does not include the compensation element of that statutory definition.

Separate Services and Responsibilities

Our assisted living startup consultation and property safety services are separate business services. Fees for those services compensate HolBrock for the work performed under the applicable service arrangement. They are not payments for resident referrals or placements.

The receiving housing or assisted living program is responsible for its own admissions, accommodations, services, charges, and operations. Assisted living programs remain responsible for their licensing and resident care.

HolBrock’s consultation and housing connection services do not represent OHCQ approval or endorsement.
